THE HIGHER LIFE LOGO AND ITS MEANING


1.      SLOGAN:  service to God and humanity: This means the society aims at serving God and also humanity who are the image of God on earth

 

 Interpretations:

1.      The bible: symbolises the word of God which serves as a weapon for destroying the works of the devil and also as the instructions which guides mankind on how to leave life on earth.The bible in logo signifies that the society is grounded on the word and instructions of the most high

2.      The pen: symbol of education.it means the society aims at promoting education and development.

3.      Shovel: represent community voluntary activities.the shovel is an instrument used in building,cleaning and for making renovations. This means the group is aimed at building society and renovating sub standaad cultures. 

4.      Child carrying bricks: symbolises child labour/child abuse

5.      Star: brightness.The stars as far away as they are twinkle and provide light for us,aside that they are also a wonderful site to observe when it is dark.this symbol means the group aims at seeing a brighter society in this era of darkness and also giving hope to society 

6.      The eagle: is a symbol of strength.this means the society trusts in God so mounts up as an eagle full of strength as the book of Isaiah puts it.The eagle is also seen as a bird that cares so much for its children and the society as well seeks to see to the well being of its members and the community as a whole

7.      The dove: is a symbol of the Holy Spirit.This symbolises the direction and inspirarion of the Holy Spirit. The society does nothing based on the strength of man but on the direction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Padmore Asamoah Gyamenah is the founding president and chief executive officer of the Higher Life Society of Ghana comprising ministry of educational campaign, ministry of child labor combating, ministry of voluntary activities and ministry of missions and evangelism, non- profit humanitarian organization that seeks for the development of societies by providing intellectual and spiritual assistance, mentoring and training.

 
 
 
Padmore is an indigenous Sefwi who had his primary education at Sefwi Betenase primary school and junior high education at Okumdom Junior High School (


where he was the academic prefect),  both in Sefwi wiawso. He furthered his secondary education at Kumasi senior High Technical School (KSTS) where he served as prep prefect for the 2008-2009 academic year,he also served as the prayer secretary for the national union of presby students-Ghana.His excellent academic performance gained him the opportunity to study Human biology at the University of Cape Coast, UCC. Whiles at the university, he served as the secretary to National union of Sefwi students and alumni (NUSSA) for the 2011-2012 academic year and was elected the president for the 2012-2013 academic year. His hard work and leadership prowess offered him the opportunity to serve again as NUSSA president for the 2013-2014 aca
He holds a Bachelor degree in Human Biology  from the university of Cape Coast.demic year.

Padmore is currently a national service personnel at Wiawso College of education (WATICO) serving as both laboratory technologist and teaching assistant.

Padmore is an evangelist, a passionate public and motivational speaker and a youth leader who focuses on community development, development of leadership, attitude and personal development.



He recently a published a scientific research work in the international journal of Biological and Pharmaceutical Research on (Hepatoprotective effects of ethanolic leaf extract of Abrus Precatorius in Plasmodium berghie infected ICR mice; a histopathological perspective)

Padmore’s singular mission is to identify and develop the potential of his generation and the generation yet unborn in promoting development of societies and by providing both intellectual and spiritual assistance in his spheres of influence.

His ambition is to become a lecturer, a pastor and a voluntary community worker. His hobbies are reading and writing.

He is well noted for his humanitarian, selflessness, indomitability, omnificence  his great sense of humor and his great gift of  leadership .His leadership qualities has kept him in positions from the primary school through to the university and he still continues.it is his greatest dream to see the higher life society progress and gain roots both locally and internationally

BRIEF HISTORY OF HIGHER LIFE SOCIETY OF GHANA (HLSG)

Padmore Asamoah Gyamenah is the visionary and founding president of higher life Society of Ghana. The vision was conceived on the 8th of November 2012 whiles studying at the University of Cape Coast. He was then the President for National Union of Sefwi Students and Alumni (NUSSA) and also the vice president for Levite ministry incorporated.

 Faced with leadership crises, academic challenges and recognising the need not only to discuss, but also confront the insurmountable challenges faced in his personal life and his community, catalysed by his burning desire for God and humanity provoked him to take an initiative that will pave a way to a more productive and effective way of developing his personal life and his community through educational campaign, voluntary service, child labour combating and active evangelism.

He undertook his first voluntary educational campaign to both primary and junior high schools on the 14th of January, 2013 at Sefwi Wiawso. He also undertook his first missionary journey to Sefwi Anwiam on 20th January 2013.

The society, then Higher Life Ministry Incorporated was launched on the 28th of June 2014 at Sefwi Wiawso College of Education, with the support from the Western Regional Chief Farmer (Nana Nicholas Cobbina), the vice principal of Sefwi Wiawso College of Education( Mr Ackaah Mensah) and other dignitaries.

Together with his brothers (Prince Gyamenah and Pius Gyamenah) and other founding executives organised their first community crusade at Sefwi Betenase.

Their first community youth clean up exercise was also organised at Sefwi Betenase with the support of the chief, Nana Kwaku Donkor (п) and the chief linguist, Nana Yaw Barima.

Immediately after completing university, a youth conference was organised on the 11th of August, 2015 at Wiawso College of Education, with the theme- born with a mission (youth empowerment program),which was preceded by one week intense educational campaign in junior high schools in Sefwi Wiawso municipality.

Many other programs such as revival, motivational talks, evangelism, educational campaign, voluntary work and others were also organized in other towns and schools in Sefwi as part of the society activities.

Three years down the lane, Higher Life Society of Ghana has become one of the most significant humanitarian organizations in Ghana, especially in Sefwi Wiawso. Many lives have been touched in diverse ways and our impact in the communities cannot be underestimated through our numerous activities.

Today, the society has made a tremendous impact with members all over the country and diaspora.

The head office is at Sefwi Wiawso in the Western part of Ghana-West Africa.

 

ABOUT THE HIGHER LIFE SOCIETY


Higher life Society of Ghana (HLSG) is a society consisting of workers, graduates and students from the junior high schools to the tertiary levels, with a singular aim to empower and promote development in communities. The group seeks to empower young people and other citizens in their pursuit of academic and carrier goals and to engage them actively in community voluntary activities. This initiative is an effort to better the lives of children, youth and families living in various communities. This provides array of programs and services that holistically address the needs of people living in these communities through educational campaigns, child labour combating and various community voluntary activities.

It is also a means to help pave the way to a more effective and productive way of engaging the youth in nation building by harnessing the energy and intellect to address the numerous problems that confront our societies.

The society is founded on the principle of volunteerism, empowerment and social responsibilities, underpinned by the virtues of selflessness, dedication, solidarity and commitment to God and humanity.

There are varieties of programs offered by the group such as leadership training seminars, Radio advocacy (Higher Life Radio Advocacy), campus ministrations (Higher Life Campus Ministry), community outreaches (Higher Life Community Outreaches) and many others.

Higher life society of Ghana is made up of four (4) major ministries namely:

1. Ministry of educational Campaign (MEC): The goal of this wing is to promote and support education in the less privileged societies through educative programs such as seminars, talks, presentations and enlightenment.

2. Ministry of Child labour and Child abuse Combating (MCCC): this unit seeks to combat child labour and child abuse and seeks to promote the wellbeing of children.

3.  Ministry of Community Voluntary Service (MCVS): Rendering voluntary services such community clean up exercises, health assistance, voluntary teaching etc.

4. Ministry of mission and evangelism: this ministry seeks to bring transformation and development in communities through effective spreading of the word of God. This ministry seeks to administer programs and services to address the spiritual needs of people in the communities. Such programs include leadership training seminars, various teachings through power point presentations and other means.

The ministry of missions and evangelism is divided into three main departments namely:

a.       Higher Life Community Fellowship (HLCF): is a joint fellowship for all individuals in the community. It seeks to administer programs and services to address the spiritual needs of people in the communities. Such programs include leadership training seminars, various teachings through power point presentations and other means

b.      Higher Life Community Outreaches: seeks to undertake community outreaches such as crusades (higher life healing crusade), revival (higher life revival) evangelism (higher life evangelism.

c.       Higher Life campus ministry: the aim of this arm is to propagate the gospel of God in various schools, especially in rural communities.

 

MISSION AND AIMS

Our mission is to empower and promote development in communities through educational campaign, voluntary service, child labour combating and community outreaches.

AIMS 

The aims of the union are:

1)      To promote and support education in rural communities

2)      To combat child labour and child abuse especially in cocoa growing areas

3)      To engage the youth in active community activities

4)      To promote the word of God through evangelism and revival.

5)      To equip the youth with leadership skills
